Division Specific Information
As part of the Instrument and Enterprise Services (IES) team (ULS brand), you have the opportunity to join a community of engineers who have strong customer relationships and solid technical knowledge within our Laboratory Products Division (LE).
The territory for this position is Southern California.
How you will make an impact!
We enable our team members to work autonomously and provide field service support to healthcare, science, and education customers while building professional skills at the same time!
What you will do:
· Repair, install, and maintain a variety of laboratory equipment products, including incubators, centrifuges, cold storage (refrigerators and freezers), and other equipment as needed
· Provide support on the qualification/validation of supported product lines
· Assist with On-Boarding/Training of new engineers
· Schedules and completes detailed preventative maintenance service to assure peak uptime of customer equipment
· Understand customers’ needs to best promote service contracts, services, and new equipment.
· Handle expenses and spare parts inventory in a timely and accurate manner
· Document daily service actions through the company work order database
· Maintains courteous and knowledgeable communication with customers to ensure alignment of all aspects of the service event (status, cost, scheduling, etc.)
· Provide assistance to the Validation team
· Act as lead engineer on a larger project
· Provide backup for the supervisor
How will you get here?
EDUCATION
Associate's Degree in Electronics or Engineering required or equivalent education/experience
Accredited trade school certification- HVAC/R or Electronic Technician preferred
EPA Certification preferred
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Position may require Covid-19 vaccination and/or routine testing, per client discretion
Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience with related science, engineering, and/or customer skills
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
· Strong electronic/electrical and mechanical background preferred, refrigeration experience a plus
· Advanced knowledge working with basic test equipment such as DMM, tachometer, temperature devices, etc.
