Principal Research Engineer III, S4

Purpose of the Position:

The Prinicpal Research Engineer III, S4 will perform comprehensive research and provide high-level oversight and senior-level database administration to the AvMC G6.

Duties/Responsibilities
.• Perform comprehensive research and provide high-level oversight and senior-level database administration to the AvMC G6.
• Provide subject matter expertise and senior-level transition support to the AvMC G6 as duties are transferred from one DBA to others within the organization
• Serve as lead and mentor junior level or less-senior DBAs at AvMC G6.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ph.D. with 42+ months (3.5 years) of full-time work experience, or a professional equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
• 12+ months senior level support of the AvMC G6.
• Operations and troubleshooting of Oracle and/or other SQL based database systems including upgrading, patching, installation, and configuration, and backup and recovery operations.
• US Citizenship is required

Desired Qualifications:

• Ph.D. with 60+ months (5+ years) of full-time work experience, or a professional equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
• 15+ years full-time database administration.

$145,600/2 = $70.00 per hour
