What we want 

The Multimedia Project Coordinator ensures continuity and consistency in social media efforts, supporting all official accounts under the Texas A&M Athletics social media umbrella. Acting as an "air traffic controller," this position coordinates content from various departments, ensuring timely and accurate posting. Additionally, the Multimedia Project Coordinator will assist with graphic design, maintaining brand guidelines and engaging with fans to build a loyal community. By staying current with social and digital trends, this role will leverage best practices and adjust strategies based on metrics. The supervision and mentorship of a student workforce further enhance productivity and quality.
 

What you need to know

Salary: Will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience.

Responsibilities

Content Management

  • Manage and schedule social media posts across all Texas A&M Athletics platforms, ensuring timely and relevant content delivery.
  • Assist with graphic design by updating and maintaining templates in Photoshop for use in social media content.
  • Monitor social media channels for engagement opportunities and respond to fan inquiries and comments as needed.


Collaboration

  •  Build relationships with coaches, staff, and other departments to address needs for front-facing social media content.
  • Act as a liaison between 12th Man Creative, Athletics Communication, and 12th Man Productions to ensure cohesive content strategy and execution.


Supervision

  • Supervise and mentor a student workforce to help execute social media content.
  • Oversee the daily activities of the social media team, ensuring efficient workflow and content posting.


Trends

  • Maintain an awareness of social and digital trends and best practices.
  • Analyze social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of content and adjust strategies as needed.
