Position Summary:
Pennwood Cyber Charter School seeks a detail-oriented, collaborative, and proactive professional to serve as the Coordinator of Assessments and Staff Development. This role supports the Director of Accountability and Staff Development in implementing staff development initiatives, managing student assessment systems, ensuring accurate state reporting, and promoting a culture of continuous academic improvement.
This position is ideal for a candidate with strong organizational and communication skills who thrives in a data-driven, remote learning environment and is looking to grow within the academic leadership pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
Professional Learning & Staff Development
- Assist in planning and scheduling professional development sessions and tracking attendance, feedback, and Act 48 hours;
- Support implementation of the Educator Induction Program, including tracking participation and providing logistical support;
- Maintain and manage paraeducator credentialing records and submission processes in alignment with PDE requirements;
- Provide technical and clerical support in managing the professional learning calendar in partnership with PDE and Pearson Virtual Schools;
Assessment Administration & Support
- Develop, coordinate, and implement logistics for local and state assessments;
- Monitor staff to ensure the school operates in compliance with Pennsylvania State Test Administration training;
- Liaise with teachers and student support staff to ensure accurate implementation of testing accommodations;
- Support the Director in analyzing and compiling assessment data to identify trends and assist with data visualization and reports;
- Support the implementation of the School Improvement Plan, ensuring progress is communicated and actionable;
State Reporting & Data Management
- Assist in preparing and validating data submissions to PDE (PIMS, Future Ready Index, etc.) under the supervision of the Director;
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate student data in collaboration with Pearson Virtual School’s State Reporting Team;
- Support audit preparation by organizing compliance documentation and ensuring completeness;
Cross-Departmental Collaboration & Communication
- Serve as a liaison between the Director’s office and school departments regarding data collection timelines, training sessions, and reporting needs;
- Provide clear communication to staff regarding deadlines, professional learning logistics, and system usage guidance;
- Attend school events and support presentations, professional development, and training as needed.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Pennsylvania Teacher or Specialist Certification
- Advanced degree in education, educational leadership, or a related field
- 5+ years of teaching experience
- 3+ years of experience as an academic leader or program manager
- Experience using data to drive interventions, instruction, and student outcomes
- Ability to develop and sustain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders: parents, students, community organizations, and staff
