Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The Kuiper team is looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals who want to join our team as a Manager, TPM leading warehousing spaces. This role will be responsible for all budgetary, people development and operations objectives for their warehouse space. The Manager, TPM will be responsible for direct leadership of warehouse area managers, who themselves are responsible for managing hourly associates, as well as program managers (tech and non-tech) to ensure the success of their operation. This Manager’s scope will span multiple facilities and/or multiple process paths, including material receipt, inspection, stowing, picking, kitting, and inventory quality. This leader will also focus on enabling speed, efficiency and productivity by applying robotics and automation to their process paths. You will blend your technical skills and your leadership acumen to ensure our warehouse systems and people work seamlessly to accomplish our daily, weekly and monthly business objectives.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
-Support, mentor, and motivate your salaried and hourly workforce
-Oversee daily execution of multiple warehouse operations to deliver daily requirements with a focus on safety and quality
-Manage, grow and develop a team of high-performing area managers, promoting a culture of inclusion, innovation and performance
-Lead large-scope technical operations projects, including implementing critical business initiatives across multiple sites
-Evaluate process metrics/KPIs across sites to identify improvement initiatives from incoming material receipt to delivery to factory floor
-Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
-Collaborate with all support teams including Safety, Engineering, Quality, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives
-Collaborate with Amazon engineering (hardware and software) teams to implement robotics solutions in your space
A day in the life
You engage your team during their shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You provide your team with the tools needed for success while driving improvements in productivity and efficiency through data-driven decisions and analytical problem-solving.
You develop the talent management and resource allocation strategies to staff in line with forecasted and actual volumes. This requires you to look across multiple operations to balance the line and ensure customer needs are met at the right time and location.
You demonstrate business acumen and skills in driving change by developing business proposals and driving implementation of recommendations through effective written and oral communication.
You effectively lead cross-functional meetings with clear document writing, agenda creation, note capture and follow-up activity coordination.

-Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
-8+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
-7+ years of experience in program or project management in hardware development
-10+ years of experience working with cross functional teams
-3+ years of employee and performance management experience
-Flexibility with daily work location as our warehouses are spread throughout the Puget Sound
-Must be an approved candidate for Hiring our Heroes (HOH) 24-2 Cohort
-3+ years of ERP experience, especially in SAP
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
-Effective coaching and mentoring skills
