Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping things safe, functional, and looking their best? As a Maintenance Associate, you’ll play an important role in creating safe, comfortable, and welcoming homes and workplaces for the individuals we serve.
From fixing equipment and maintaining buildings to coordinating contractors and keeping grounds in great shape, you’ll be the person who helps make sure everything is working the way it should. Your work makes a real difference every day.
What You’ll Do
• Oversee preventative maintenance across multiple programs and offices throughout an assigned region.
• Plan, prioritize, and schedule maintenance projects based on workload, available resources, and equipment.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors to ensure quality work and timely completion.
• Investigate and resolve maintenance concerns, service issues, and equipment complaints.
• Maintain buildings and grounds in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Repair and maintain a wide range of equipment and systems, including kitchen and housekeeping equipment, HVAC units, electrical and plumbing fixtures, laundry equipment, and more.
• Inspect and repair building surfaces, complete painting projects, and address general building maintenance needs.
• Read blueprints and develop plans for building improvements and maintenance projects.
• Support building technology needs, including wiring for computer networking.
• Manage inventory of equipment, parts, tools, and maintenance supplies, ensuring materials are available when needed.
• Maintain appliances, motors, exhaust fans, pumps, and other equipment according to manufacturer recommendations.
• Partner with building inspectors, fire marshals, vendors, and other professionals to keep facilities safe and compliant.
• Maintain fire alarm systems, including smoke and heat detectors and fire pull stations.
• Assist with safety, emergency, and disaster preparedness plans.
• Maintain accurate operational records and ensure safety procedures and regulations are consistently followed.
• Jump in wherever needed to help keep our programs safe, functional, and welcoming.
What You’ll Bring
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of related maintenance experience.
• Strong working knowledge of maintenance, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Ability to safely operate and work with a variety of maintenance tools and equipment.
• Current contractor license, when required by state regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A team-oriented approach and a commitment to providing high-quality work.
