DES is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior/Lead Applications Developer. This position is responsible for design, developing and maintaining complex, scalable solutions on the Salesforce service cloud platform by translating business requirements into technical implementations using Apex, Lightning components, and other Salesforce app exchange tools, while also mentoring junior developers and leading technical aspects of projects often collaborating closely with business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of custom applications.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Writing complex Apex classes, triggers and scheduled jobs to automate business processes and create custom functionality within Salesforce.
• Building user-friendly Lightning web components for modern Salesforce interface, including custom interactions and data visualization.
• Designing efficient Salesforce data structures, including custom objects, fields and relationships to optimize data storage and retrieval.
• Identifying and resolving issues within Salesforce applications including debugging Apex code and troubleshooting integration problems.
• Utilizing Salesforce configuration options like workflows, validation rules, and sharing rules to implement business logic without requiring custom code where possible.
• Thoroughly reviewing code written by other developers to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices and security protocols.
• Defining the overall technical architecture for Salesforce applications, considering scalability, performance and security best practices.

Knowledge of:

• Web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript and REST API's.
• Software Development processes including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning.
• Business applications, testing multiple platforms, browsers and mobile devices.
• Salesforce Service Cloud, OmniStudio, agile and test driven development.
• Integrating Salesforce application with other systems.
• Multiple programming languages, multiple database management systems, multiple development platforms and system integration.
