Triumph Electronics Systems and Control is a leading independent aerospace Actuation system supplier for the commercial, military, helicopter, and business jet markets. Based in Windsor, CT, Triumph employs approximately 110 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include Actuation products and machined components for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.
 

 

 Position reports to Manufacturing Engineering Manager
* Support Manufacturing Engineers and Production Supervisors in daily manufacturing task and problem resolution
* Assist in the implementation of new factory layout to promote optimal manufacturing flow and inventory space conservation.
* Support the development/design of new tooling and fixtures
* Support Manufacturing/operations processes aimed at improving productivity, implementing continuous improvements, operational efficiencies and to reduce cost while ensuring quality standards are maintained. 
* Design systems to integrate workers, machines, and information to make products or provide services
* Automate Manufacturing to Material Handling processes to reduce labor and eliminate waste
* Work with outside suppliers to support special projects.
* Write Process sheets and Work instructions
* Eliminate waste in production or manufacturing processes
* Develop and report performance metrics
* Implement corrective actions
* Design and develop manufacturing methods to increase effectiveness, efficiency, and space.

Qualifications

Junior or Senior Year, minimum GPA of 3.0.
* Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree
* Classroom knowledge of manufacturing, production or Continuous improvement methodologies
* Innovative approach for driving process efficiencies and cost reduction
* Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Good writing ability
* Lean Manufacturing
* Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint experience
* CAD/CAM knowledge helpful
* Self-motivated with positive interpersonal and team skills
