In-Process Inspector

Description

Scope: As an In-Process Inspector you will receive travelers and panels for in-process inspection. You’ll input jobs in the production management system, ensure that previous operations were completed and signed for and verify that all documents reference the correct tool number, customer name, part number, revision level, and engineering change orders.

Essential Job Function:

• You will work closely with the Quality department, communicating with Engineers is a must, ability to read and follow instructions.
• Keep the work area clean and safe.
• Use pin gauges to check all hole sizes.
• Verify required line widths, spacing and annular ring measurements using a microscope.
• Confirm the material type and thickness meets the blueprint requirements.
• Visually inspect boards using backlight for anomalies and discrepancies.
• Follow standard operating procedures and identify opportunities for improvements. 

Requirements

 Essential Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of PCB manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of IPC Standards within the scope of Inner Layer and Outer Layer defects
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively individually and in a team environment.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills

Physical Requirements:

• Sit for long periods.
• Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Repeat the same movements.
• See details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
• Understand the speech of another person.
• Speak clearly so listeners can understand.
• Use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.
