Position Summary
Responsible for developing and implementing a continuous improvement programs. Utilize actionable metrics to quantify ongoing issues, use metrics to determine a potential resolution, and monitor progress through implementation. Prioritize potential process improvements based on their expected benefits and ensure improvement efforts are appropriately staffed – if resources are constrained to implement improvement, ensure the highest value improvements are implemented first. Define the QA program for internal work and ensure the program is executed. Contributes toward Gas Safety Excellence goals by improving safety, reliability and affordability for one or more asset families and one or more life cycles.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the *middle* or *entry* point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $189,000
Bay Area Maximum: $323,000
Reporting Relationship
This position reports to the Sr. Director, Enterprise Business Performance, PMO.
Will build and set structure for a small team including recruit/select, communicate expectations, foster employee engagement, coach, develop, mentor, recognize and reward employees in order to drive performance and results.
Job Responsibilities
- Accountable for developing and implementing the production system in San Jose and realizing a 10% throughput increase.
- Identifies the key constraint areas of our production system to drive focused continuous improvement efforts to improve efficiency.
- Develop the strategic roadmap for the production system which includes the criteria for which programs are prioritized, how we expand regionally, etc.
- Execute on the unitization project to drive current unitization rate of dollars from 46% to 90%.
- Identifies the governance to enable the feed accurate data from the production system into the Plan Delivery Center (PDC)
- Responsible for establishing and collecting performance metrics and informing key functions of performance trends across IDDSEC.
- Monitor performance to the workplan and inform planners of significant variances that will require a change control session
- Analyze KPIs for each process, identify root cause for inefficiencies identified, work with process owners to identify adjustments
- Gather KPIs and metrics for reporting via scorecards
- Define the governance procedures for maintaining the process model, including defining what becomes a process
- Monitor the health of each process. Advise process owners on opportunities for improvement and assist with valuation/prioritization of next steps
- Coach process owners on techniques for improving their processes
