OnsiteCollins Aerospace is growing rapidly and has an exciting position available now as a Program Manager at our brand new, state of the art, Lenexa, KS facility. The Program Manger will lead product development and product improvement programs within our industry leading galley inserts family of products.
This position is for a Program Manager who works independently, leads small/medium programs and integrated product teams (IPTs) to successfully deliver projects on time and on budget. The position manages the customer interface and relationship, analyzes data, leads risk and opportunity management, identifies and implements resolutions for program problems, interfaces with vendors, maintains progress reports, and participates in contract negotiation. The Program Manager develops program plans, Statements of Work, schedules, milestones, and budgets. Supports strategic planning efforts, contract negotiations, and manages important vendors.
This is an onsite position located in Lenexa, KS. Eligible for relocation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead Integrated Project Teams to deliver Galley Insert development programs in accordance with Collins Management System (CMS) guidelines
- Develop Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for authorized work. Establishes and communicates overall priorities and changing program requirements to functional areas.
- Conduct and chair internal team meetings to review progress and identify issues.
- Participate in Customer meetings to address progress, questions, and concerns.
- Facilitate working sessions to resolve unplanned anomalies.
- Identify, track and close action items resulting from meetings and reviews.
- Track and report on the status of key programs including internal monthly Program Health Reviews and reviews with the customers.
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experienc
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Project Management Professional
- Program management experience leading cross functional teams.
- Experience working in the Aerospace/Defense/Military industry preferred.
- Previous experience working with operations/manufacturing engineering organizations.
- Experience using Integrated Project Scheduling software
- Ability to manage multiple programs running at different product development stages.
