Position Summary
Plans and manages Interior Design projects for ERIE owned and leased buildings, ensuring that project results contribute positive business value and meet agreed-upon scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives. Prepares and contributes to corporate strategic space planning efforts and recommends effective short and long term space utilization solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Management/Coordination for FF&E (furniture, fixtures, & equipment) or other assigned facilities projects: Develops and maintains the overall project plan. Oversees interior projects, manages and estimates the project budget, schedule, scope, and prioritizes work tasks as needed. Oversees coordination of internal and external resources.
Programming: Understands and documents project goals and objectives, evaluates the current state, collects data, analyzes data and completes a comprehensive program report.
Conceptualization/Documentation: Creates conceptual schematic floor plans that are both creative, innovative, and in compliance with interior building codes and requirements. Works cohesively with internal and external resources to contribute to the production of design development drawings, fully developed construction documents, and specifications. Validates plans against construction, mechanical and electrical engineering and A&D drawing sets.
Material and Product Selection: Researches and selects interior furniture products, materials, and finishes; selects casework finishes, interior signage, and window treatments. Selections are to meet and or exceed the base organizational standards and procedures, lifecycle performance, sustainable attributes, environmental impact, ergonomic requirements, installation methods, and building code-compliance.
Communication: Develops and maintains effective working relationships with customers and project participants. Identifies project issues and manages issue resolution. Communicates project issues to the project team, clients, management and others as required. Mentors and trains less experienced staff as needed and contributes to team collaboration and innovation.
