NCPRE-K Lead Teacher (urgent hiring)

Lead Teacher with Bachelor’s (Lead) or Associates (Assist) Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field. Early Childhood degree required. BK License required for lead teachers or willingness to obtain required.

Our teachers are passionate about the intellectual and emotional development of children, and we are currently in search of an equally passionate and enthusiastic Lead Teacher to join our child care team. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for maintaining a positive and appropriate educational environment, and creating a program that meets the intellectual and emotional needs of all of our children. The successful candidate will work closely with the Educational Director to ensure our program provides education, physical health, emotional well-being and parental involvement services to all enrolled students.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Create a developmentally appropriate program for our students
• Develop weekly lesson plans, activities and class set-ups
• Assess children’s needs and development
• Work closely with families to encourage mutual cooperation
• Provide guidance to instructional staff to help resolve issues with students when necessary
• Ensure the safety of all children in our program
• Closely follow licensing regulations related to child care
