Riverside Research Institute (RRI) is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst with expertise in commercial due diligence research, analysis, and security best practices in the context of national security and technology acquisition. The analyst is expected to be an expert in this field, with directly relevant skills and experience spanning public and private sector service. The analyst will support the Defense Innovation Unit's broad commercial strategy, outreach, relationship management, and collaboration with official entities. This role is key to maintaining the United States’ national security posture and delivering uncompromised critical capabilities directly to warfighters.

Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise in tools, analytic techniques, and methods for identifying risk exposures on matters related to national security
- Contribute to rapid due diligence support research, analysis, and risk assessments for a diverse technical portfolio
- Apply knowledge and expertise on matters surrounding adversarial foreign investment; foreign intelligence; supply chain illumination and risk identification, market due diligence, trends, and data analysis
- Provide consultation to government stakeholders and commercial partners
- Maintain and expand tactical and strategic USG Alliances that support the DIU mission
- Actively participate in related meetings, briefings, and other forums to share findings and best practices
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Economics, or Business field
- 8+ years of professional business and/or field experience in the same or similar field
- Experience working in US counter-proliferation and counterintelligence capacities
- Hands-on experience with open-source research capabilities, emerging technologies, investment and acquisition strategies
- Prior experience supporting national security projects
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, adapt quickly to changing demands from internal and external stakeholders;
- Demonstrated independent critical problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to shape ambiguous environments into successful outcomes
- Understanding of startup company culture and operations
- Prior military, IC, or government experience advisable
- Secret clearance required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
- US citizen
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in International Relations, Economics, or Business
- 10+ years of professional business and/or field experience
- Training and prior experience as a USG/DoD Special Agent or counterintelligence missions
- Prior experience supporting HUMINT operations
- Working knowledge of Federal and/or DoD counterintelligence components, policies and procedures
- Working knowledge and experience of DoD IC Reporting, databases and associated systems
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Excellent working relationships with Federal and DoD LE/IC components
