Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Senior Specialist, Provider Licensing to join our Provider Operations team.

About the role

You will be responsible for licensure and cross-license tracking of all Oscar Medical Group providers across all service lines (primary care, urgent care, and health assessments). You will work with providers and state licensing entities directly on licensing applications, supervision agreements, and submissions as aligned with the licensing support strategy.

You will report to the Associate Manager, Provider Operations.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office (in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Dr), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Otherwise, this is a remote / work-from-home role.

Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $47,200 - $61,950 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $42,480 - $55,755 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program, and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Manage provider master licensing process to ensure information is accurate, kept up to date and that our providers are in compliance at all times
  • Proactively and consistently communicate with with providers on upcoming expirations and license renewals to guide them through the process using knowledge and expertise to resolve potential issues
  • Keep track and log provider licenses in provider files
  • Work with identified providers for licensing application and submission
  • Keep current provider license in-progress tracker updated for leaders 
  • Input and verify information in licensing system for real-time monitoring 
  • Review flags from real-time monitoring and licensing verification system  
  • Ensure licensing information is updated real-time within Oscar system
  • Support of Advanced Practice Practitioner (APP) supervision tracking
  • Review requests that require immediate assistance
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of provider (MD, DO, NP, PA) licensing/credentialing application & submission across multiple states & multiple providers
  • 2+ years experience working with state licensing boards with knowledge of multiple state rules and regulations
  • 2+ years experience in real-time license monitoring and license verification 
  • 2+ years experience working  with physician leadership, clinicians, reporting out on updates to stakeholders as needed
  • 1+ years experience with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel

Bonus Points

  • 1+ year of healthcare experience in multi-provider clinics
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to document processes in a concise but thorough manner. 
  • Problem solver and ability to work autonomously
