Leads are the single point of communication between operators, engineers and management of Analog Devices (ADI) on the floor. They are directly responsible for creating an environment of SAFE, RIGHT, FAST by ensuring their team follows practices and procedures for Safety, Quality, and Throughput. They are individual contributors responsible for running production tools while setting an example of the ADI Core Values to their team members.

Leads are an example of excellence in safety, quality, productivity, job knowledge, attendance and professionalism. Leads work closely with their supervisor/ manager to define daily priorities and relay that information to the production floor. Communication is a key factor in a leads’ success: they must be able to communicate fab needs to their module for correction or assistance while also communicating priorities to their team. They must be aware of employee relations issues, operator task assignments and behaviors. Where issues are discovered, lead will work with their management to create a workplace free of inappropriate behavior.

In summary, Leads deliver Safe/Right/Fast by helping their team to be efficient and repeatable, following specs, and using their knowledge to continually improve the specs and work practices for all shifts in their area.

Responsibilities and Duties include but not limited to:

  • Directly responsible for creating an environment of SAFE/ RIGHT/ FAST by setting a personal example in all aspects of their work and ensuring their team follows practices and procedures for SAFETY, QUALITY and THROUGHPUT. 
  • They are individual contributors responsible for running production tools while setting an example of the ADI core values to their team members.
  • Leads work closely with their supervisor/ manager to define daily priorities and relay that information to the floor.
  • They must be able to communicate fab needs to their module for correction / assistance. It is the lead’s role to share the response and any updates with their team members.
  • Leads communicate safety, quality or employee performance feedback to their supervisor or manager and suggest actions for correction or recognition.
  • They are aware of employee relations, operator assignments, and behaviors.  Leads work with management to create a workplace free of inappropriate behavior.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Graduate or GED
  • Six months or greater experience as a core Analog Fab Operator
  • Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to analyze and summarize production data in a report format
  • Knowledge of Prime, PROMIS, DMR, SPC and FPS to support production reports
  • No active Attendance, Quality, or Performance issues


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: AS degree or higher
  • Multiple Certifications within the area being applied for
  • Operator 2, Wafer Fab Operations status or higher
