Executive Director, Human Resources
The Execitive Director Human Resources US will be a valued member of the US Leadership Team, leading our regional people agenda, ensuring that BioNTech has the right talent, capabilities, and structure to achieve our inspiring goals. This HR leader will partner with the business by collaborating with key stakeholders to drive solutions that meet our strategic goals and business needs with guardianship of BioNTech’s Passionate, United, and Innovative culture. They will ensure that HR programs and processes are effectively managed and delivered in close cooperation with our global teams and Centers of Excellence. This role will be preferably based out of Cambridge, MA.
Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of the US HR strategy, ensuring alignment to BioNTech’s overarching HR and corporate strategy.

Trusted coach and sparring partner for regional and global senior business leaders on people related topics to drive best and innovative ways of working and to contribute to the achievement of our goals.

Lead regional talent strategy, organizational design, and organizational health, collaborating and aligning with our US sites and remote workforce and global stakeholders.

Enable the US HR team by creating a stimulating and meaningful environment that can navigate complex challenges while offering growth and development opportunities to team members.

Contribute to the buildout of global HR strategy and design & execution of global HR processes and systems harmonization to evolve the function to provide value-maximizing support that enables BioNTech to continue to successfully grow – in a sustainable manner.

Oversee the effective implementation and delivery of HR programs and processes, ensure compliance with US legislation, and drive continuous improvement, utilizing HR metrics and KPIs.

Support employee engagement and development efforts to help ensure our workforce is highly motivated and continuously developing in line with strategic and business demands.

Drive regional and support global Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging efforts, fostering a culture of belonging.
Requirements

10 plus years of Human Resources experience or equivalent, including time spent in highly regarded organizations known for strong competency in human resources/talent management. Exposure to best-in-class, business-focused human resource functions.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field. Advanced degree preferred. CCP, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP is a bonus.
