Equipment Maintenance Lab Supervisor 1, Cell Engineering

We are currently seeking a Lab Supervisor with hands-on experience maintaining and working on a variety of laboratory equipment, battery prototype, and battery testing equipment. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields and possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
The Role:
· Maintain battery laboratory equipment such as battery cyclers, environmental chambers, and gloveboxes, troubleshooting and escalating issues as required
· Execute testing and provide engineering support related to cell material and electrochemical analysis
· Collaborate with engineers/scientists to learn and assist in standardizing laboratory processes
· Record detailed data from day-to-day process activities in online database, including inventory management
· Proactively and effectively communicate results and observationswith cell engineers and cross-functional colleagues in EH&S and facilities
· Co-writing equipment maintenance plans for new equipment (e.g., FAT/SAT equipment, analytical testing equipment) as required
· Maintain organized/tidy workspaces and promote a safe working environment
Qualifications:
· Basic understanding of laboratory safety and hazards, e.g., chemical, electrical, lithium-ion battery
· Experience in maintaining mechanical, electrical, vacuum equipment, cleanrooms, dry rooms, chemical laboratory environments, lithium-ion battery process equipment
· Experience working in machine shops and familiarity with safety best-practices
· Experience working with inert gas equipment such as gloveboxes and associated upkeep of similar systems
· Ability to work safely and precisely handling small electrical components and operating equipment
· Knowledge of basic laboratory equipment and computer operation. Proficiency with Arbin and/or Maccor software is a plus. Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence, Smartsheets, or Quickbase is a plus. · Experience proactively communicating continuous improvement ideas with cross-functional colleagues to minimize tool downtime and promote safe working culture
· Experience working in R&D laboratory environments and handling/disposing of hazardous chemicals and materials preferred
· Experience in FAT/SAT equipment commissioning & qualification to ensure new equipment has a proper maintenance plan preferred.
· Experience in creating responsive and preventive maintenance plans for equipment
Physical Demands
· Pass a respirator fit test and be able to wear respiratory protection when required
· Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes
· Capable of lifting up to 50lbs and willing to get forklift certification
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
