About the role

Are you a natural storyteller, with a curiosity to get to the bottom of things? Are you good at synthesizing secondary data and customer insights?  If so, this is the perfect role for you!

As the Director, Vaccines Performance Reporting & Analytics, you will lead the development of the brand stories for our key brands. This includes working with Marketing and Sales leaders to ensure a concise KPI/metric strategy, align reporting tools to these metrics, and lead diagnoses when KPIs / market events dictate.  You will share synthesized narrative in various formats: weekly performance reports (sent to US President), monthly brand health meetings, inputs to Investor Relations decks.

To be successful, you will need to be strategic and have strong business acumen, so that you can partner with the Marketing/Sales teams on measuring what matters. You will also need to be adept at navigating data, both understanding the detail, but being able to pull it up to a high-level story that highlights challenges/opportunities for the brand.

You will additionally lead two managers and several other analysts, including our offshore workbench.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead development of concise performance narrative for key brands. This includes proactive monitoring, as well as deep-dive diagnoses (sometimes in collaboration with advanced analytics or market research team members).  Proactively share findings and insights in various forums, including:

    • Monthly Brand Health Meetings
    • Monthly Performance Review (MPR) (sent to Global)

  • Create and foster strong strategic partnerships with marketing & sales leadership.  Negotiate on and identify / implement key performance indices and other critical metrics that will enhance our understanding of the market and our brands.
  • Lead reporting and visualization strategy for various dashboards: Executive Weekly Performance Narrative, Home Office, Field Reporting.
  • Liaise with Data, Tech and External Vendors as they implement and update automated tools.  Represent the end user (our team, Marketing, Sales) to initiate refinements/modifications, share user requirements and ensure needs are met.  Proactively work towards transitioning repeat reports and trackers to an automated platform, and towards decommissioning outdated manual or semi-manual reports and trackers.
  • Collaborate effectively with the CI Data team and reporting staff within the commercial data function for consolidated vendor management, incl. periodic feedback and quality reviews. This relationship with the Data team is and should be maintained as a strategic/consultative relationship rather than being focused on tactical implementation.
  • Prioritize work for the Performance Analytics team, coach & mentor them and manage the offshore workbench.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in pharmaceuticals/healthcare.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience using various visualization tools to diagnosis performance issues (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
