Job Description
The Manager, Customer Excellence focuses on evaluating programs and policies for efficiencies and cost-in opportunities as well as managing system executed programs. This position supports delivering sustainable supply chain improvements while “working” the white spaces between the various supply chains functions, company partners and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Primary Customer Excellence contact for West GEO Customers
- Evaluate pricing and efficiency programs for cost-in opportunities such as stable bracket weights/cubes and full pallet percentages
- Review and maintain Customer Excellence policies for accuracy and cost savings such as DPS and Pallet program
- Manage pricing announcements by providing communication, monitoring orders for excessive quantities, and providing options to prevent supply shortages
- Partner with BU Sales to review programs that impact customer operations and communicate actions
- Provide system capabilities and execution for special situations and develop systematic solutions for processes/programs
- Coordinate programs requiring system configuration such as Extended Terms and Truckload Allowances
- Supervise execution responsibilities for Allocations and Substitutions
- Develop reporting for KPI visualization such as ORDD and CFR
- Support opportunities for growth involving customer data i.e., inventory, consumption, and forecast
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field
- Solid understanding of cross-functional roles (i.e., Customer Service, Sales, Planning, Transportation & Warehousing)
- Ability to demonstrate resiliency, a sense of urgency, and leadership/ownership
- Proven track record of results in a multi-function facing capacity
- Ability to quickly grasp complex supply chain issues and drive them to solution
- Must have excellent Excel/PowerPoint skills
- SAP/Tableau experience is a plus
Required proficiencies include decision making, business acumen, communication, adaptability, time management, building partnerships, and continuous improvement
