Senior Process Excellence Specialist

Sanoma Accounting Services (SAS) is an integral part of Sanoma Group Finance Control and provides accounting services to Sanoma’s Learning operations. The department consists of approx. 55 finance professionals located in various European locations with hubs currently in Finland, Netherlands, Poland and Spain. Accounting Services scope includes AP, AR, GL, IFRS reporting as well as local statutory accounting and tax compliance. As a function, we aim to provide scalable and high-quality accounting services, driving value from an end-to-end perspective while enabling cost efficiency. We want to be the go-to party for all local accounting-related questions and ensure we, as an organization, are compliant with local accounting and tax regulations.

We are now looking for a Senior Process Excellence Specialist, Financial Accounting for a permanent employment in Helsinki, Finland.

About the role

As a Senior Process Excellence Specialist you will be involved in the implementation of effective and efficient Financial Accounting processes and ways of working, including systems, standards, instructions, policies, controls and operating procedures. You will support and guide SAP key users and process owners with system functionalities, business processes and continuous process development. We expect you to be capable of driving improvements initiatives and convincing stakeholders to support them. You will play an important role in the transformation of our finance function, including driving the implementation of a Sanoma Learning wide new integrated finance system. In this role you will report to the Finance Development Manager.

About you

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

• Experience from SAP Finance domain and preferably experience on SAP S/4HANA Central Finance system
• Deep understanding and practical experience of SAP FICO area, knowledge of SAP sub-modules and processes such as General Ledger Accounting, Asset Accounting, Accounts receivable, Accounts Payable, Period End Closing etc.
• Strong accounting substance as well as transactional finance knowledge (RTR, OTC, PTP)
• Development mindset, ability to analyze finance processes, identify pain points, and propose effective solutions.
• Project management and change management skills, experience in international ERP roll-out projects are considered as a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively gather requirements and explain technical concepts in a clear and concise manner. Ability to conduct training sessions and create documentation for end-users.
• Hands-on and pro-active working style and can-do attitude
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• Full fluency in English is essential for this role
