Our prior experience encompasses all types of general and specialty construction work.
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with expertise in federal projects to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing various construction projects, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The Construction Manager will oversee all aspects of the construction process, from initial planning through project completion, and will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Review and understand the scope of work prior to mobilization in collaboration with the Project Manager (P.M.)/Estimator.
- Assist with project schedule development, planning, and vendor contracts/purchase orders.
- Manage all on-site vendors and ensure they meet scheduled dates for work activity completion.
- Utilize the Field Manual for all correspondence and job data
- Abide by and enforce job site safety regulations.
- Assist in procuring prices and buy-out of materials, if needed.
- Prepare daily field reports in SAGE Software.
- Prepare weekly Short Interval Planning (S.I.P.) every Thursday for the following two weeks
- Ensure on-site availability of relevant safety equipment
- Ensure all vendors have current plans, specifications, and addendums on site.
- Verify that all vendors are supplying and installing approved materials per approved submittals.
- Maintain quality control throughout the project.
- Perform end-of-project Contractor Acceptance Inspection (CAI), turn over the required as-builts, and complete all required punch-list items
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management
- Proven ability to manage complex construction projects from inception to completion.
- Strong understanding of federal construction regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and SAGE software.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team of vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
- Ability to travel nationwide as needed for project oversight.
