Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for an Operations Leader 2nd Shift for Completion to join our Production team based in Mobile, AL
As a member of the management team, manages, leads, develops and engages a production team to meet time, quality, cost and safety requirements. Drive continuous improvement and ensure effective communication within the team and key interfaces.

The team at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing facilities assemble the finest aircraft in the world, along two (soon to be three) production lines for the A220 and A320 Family aircraft. On the shop floor you’ll be surrounded by individuals who are passionate about aviation and skilled in areas like electrical, structure and quality. Your working environment:
Nearby on ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus’ strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.

Your Challenges:
Provide direction and guidance to production activities and supervise the progress of the A/C through the Station.
Function as a role model and leader in the observance of OSHA rules and regulations. Ensure the importance and company commitment to safety is in the forefront of thought and action on the part of every employee.
Provide leadership to the Autonomous Production team (APT)
Routinely report and update upper level management on A/C progress, Tandem and alert colleagues to potential problems and solutions
Coordinate and communicate Station activities throughout the FAL, the management team, other FALs and relevant parties
Insure orders and (work) material availability to guarantee work progress.
Proactively identify and resolve problems to prevent disagreements and encourage collaborative work relationships.
Engage with support staff from Quality, Procurement, and other specialty areas to improve work flow and enhance existing processes.
