Responsibilities and Impact:

The Strategic Engagement Specialist will play a key role in supporting the participation of high-level government officials, Ministers, and Partners in invitation-only programs such as EPIC (Energy Partner Informal Conversations) and Forums. The role requires a balance of strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-team collaboration to ensure meaningful and successful participation of government and corporate leaders.

The ideal candidate will have experience in event operations, project management, and government or stakeholder engagement. The Specialist will work closely with professionals across the CERAWeek team—including program management, speaker coordination, operations, and partnership delivery—in a fast-paced, agile environment.

  • Support the participation of government officials, Ministers, and their delegations in Partner Programs, EPICs, and Forums, including outreach, scheduling, and on-site coordination.
  • Manage communications and serve as the primary liaison between ministerial staff, strategic engagement management, program chairs, and partnership teams.
  • Coordinate logistics before, during, and after the conference, ensuring seamless execution of sessions and activities.
  • Assist in developing and managing private, invitation-only conversations and roundtables with senior officials.
  • Collaborate with partnership and commercial teams to ensure high return on investment and maximize Partner engagement.
  • Monitor and report on participant engagement, identifying risks and escalating issues as needed.
  • Serve as the technology lead for Strategic Engagement, driving process and system improvements that enhance efficiency and team collaboration.
  • Stay informed on key developments within Partner and government organizations to anticipate impacts on participation.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a cross-functional, matrix environment.
  • Comfortable leading project calls and coordinating across multiple time zones.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams); experience with event registration or project management systems preferred.
  • Ability to travel to Houston, TX, for CERAWeek in March (up to 10 days).
  • Personable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a demanding yet rewarding environment.
