Where You Come In:  

KCF Technologies is seeking a Software Engineering Intern contribute to our high-performing teams as part of the Future Innovators Internship Program. This 10-week, full-time paid program runs from June 1 – August 7. This position can be 100% remote within the U.S. With our work from home, work from anywhere policy, the choice of where to work is yours.

Our home base is our headquarters in State College, PA, but you will find KCF Teammates spread across 27 different U.S. States with our remote work model. We give you the autonomy to define how and where you do your best work!

s a Software Engineering Intern you will have the opportunity to be an essential part of the team - working on features for our SMARTdiagnostics cloud-hosted Machine Health platform.  This is a great opportunity to learn about developing cloud-hosted Software as a Service (SaaS) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications.  You will be exposed to both front-end UI and back-end API development.

 

Essential Functions:

• Develop and maintain KCF’s software products (e.g. SMARTdiagnostics)
• Actively participate as a member of a cross-functional engineering squad
• Attend meetings (standups, planning and refinements, progress reviews, etc.)
• Collaborate with other squad members (engineers, UI/UX, QA, etc.)
• Develop software using one or more of the following tools and frameworks:
• TypeScript, React, and React Native for front-end
• .NET/C# and/or Rust for back-end APIs
• SQL and ORMs such as EF Core for databases
• Manage source code using GitHub
• Participate in code reviews using Git Pull Requests
• Keep track of assigned work using Jira
