Examples of duties
Be a Watchful Presence: Perform routine safety checks and provide close, constant observation, including one-to-one (1:1) or two-to-one (2:1) assignments.
Be a Communicator: Document your observations and relay significant information to the clinical care team.
Be a Guardian: Continuously monitor patients at risk for self-harm or behavioral incidents to ensure their safety.
Be a Team Member: Work under the supervision of nursing staff to maintain hospital policies and a safe environment.

Sharpe, Jr. Hospital holds accreditation from The Joint Commission and certification by the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS). The hospital offers a wide range of services to patients either committed to the hospital through civil commitment or, in the case of forensic patients, ordered through the judicial system.
