Position Overview

Autodesk is looking for a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing and vendor management activities for assigned vendors, and projects within the IT category. You have experience leading complex vendor negotiations (preferably with Tier One SaaS providers). You are experienced in developing and delivering category and sourcing strategies within the IT category. You will influence and lead teams to implement the strategies and complete related negotiations . You understand contractual terms and conditions and demonstrated ability to write and negotiate contracts. You will focus on traditional sourcing models including portfolio/category analysis, planning, consolidation, demand management, supplier scorecards and vendor management. This includes creating and refining processes and templates that can be applied to across all vendors and categories worldwide.

You will be based in either one of our office locations such as: Portland, Novi or Atlanta in a hybrid capacity or fully remote and will support (PST time zone and may have to adjust schedule accordingly) and will report to the Director, Technology Sourcing, Strategic Sourcing.

Responsibilities

• You will analyze data to determine cost savings opportunities through vendor consolidation and contract renegotiations

• You will develop and implement category and sourcing strategies for the IT category by collaborating with your partners and incorporating a thoughtful understanding of the technical IT requirements, the departmental strategies of your partners and market trends

• You will lead the RFx process through to completion including requirements gathering, identifying potential respondents, identifying the criteria, scorecards and weighting, bidder's conferences, negotiation and contracting

• You will lead complex negotiations for IT contracts and statements of work -and communicate with business and legal, prepare legally binding and enforceable documents

• You will help identify areas of risk for the business (i.e., indemnities, limits of liability, delivery of service, quality, performance, timeline, warranty, governance or other contractual terms); make recommendations where applicable. You will maintain proficiency in all relevant policies and enforce such policies

• You have the ability recognize areas that require improvement and make recommendations for efficiencies

• You will measure vendor performance against contract service level agreements and expectations, Initiate corrective actions

• You will provide business with approved sourcing processes, and knowledge to qualify vendors and manage vendor relationships

• You will lead Supplier Review Meetings with important suppliers and senior level Autodesk team members and provide input on performance and future needs/strategic planning

• You are a subject matter expert in sourcing initiatives and will recommend systems and process improvements to increase contract effectiveness within the enterprise

Minimum Qualifications

• You have 7+ years' experience focused on IT Strategic Sourcing and Category Management

• You have a BA or equivalent experience

• You have experience negotiating contracts and experience with procurement

The Ideal Candidate

• You are fluent in Mandarin, but not a requirement
