Our Swedish cheese business is significant and we are looking for a new colleague to be based in Sweden at one of our production sites in southern Sweden but join a global Cheese Product Development team located across 3 countries. How you will make an impact

The overall aim for your job is to deliver the cheese products of the future through impassioned and strong product and process development skills.

• As one of our cheese experts you will be delivering product understanding and technical know-how in order to drive product quality, new innovations and continued competitiveness across our cheese portfolio – but with focus on yellow cheese.
• You will be part of the end-to-end process from idea to handover and implementation and your key responsibility will be to lead, coordinate and be hands-on in developing, testing and documenting new and optimized cheese products.
• Furthermore, you will lead selected product and process-related activities and closely collaborate with your team as well as across Arla functions.

 

In short, you will use your creativity to evolve and develop our cheese assortment by translating market demands into ready-to-use product recipes and processes. Your assignments will include recipe and process development, product testing, trouble shooting, data collection, documentation and simple project management. You will have many touch points within Arla as well as with external partners and suppliers.

 

What will make you successful

• You have a background within dairy, food technology or food science
• You have min. 5 years of hands-on experience from a similar position or from a production environment where you have successfully built a solid base of product and process knowhow
• It is important that you are curious, open minded and able to see things in the broader perspective, just as you need to be persistent in order to deliver your projects on time and budget
• You display a strong sense of quality both for product but also in your work allowing you to plan and organize your daily doings and document your findings accordingly

 

We have a handful of cheese production sites across Sweden, and you will be based at one of them. Further you should expect traveling on a monthly basis to ensure a strong process understanding and a close relationship with the other sites.

 

You must be good at keeping an eye on details as well as juggling with several tasks at the same time without losing the overview. You are fond of cheese and take pleasure in tasting the products and presenting and engaging other people in the world of cheese. As part of a global team, you must have a strong command of written and spoken English.
