We’re looking for a passionate and curious Associate Principal Scientist to join our team. What You'll Do:
Perform routine in-vitro in vitro Toxicology Assays, with a focus on Microelectrode Array (MEA)
Responsible for planning, performing and reporting in vitro Toxicology studies for discovery and development stage compounds.
Actively participate in experimental design, perform experiments as well as critically analyze, interpret and report the data to design next steps.
Ability to perform high-impact as well as high throughput studies to completion in a fast-paced environment, while managing multiple projects to meet the timelines
Provides scientific knowledge and responsible in establishing new in vitro Tox assays as well as contribute to the continuous improvement of the current in vitro Tox assays
Manage junior scientists within the department
Assist in data analysis and interpretation
Laboratory support including ordering, equipment calibration and validation Working to a high standard and adhering to our Quality System
Work closely with the Project Managers to ensure the requirements of our clients are met
Assist in running and maintaining robotic systems to support processes.
Perform Quality Review of peer data and assist in consolidating assay control and validation criteria
Work closely with the Project Managers to ensure the requirements of our clients are met
Who You Are:
An expert in electrophysiological assays with Microelectrode Array for cardiac and neuro assays is highly desired.
Comfortable with working in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals.
Excellent communicator; both verbally and in writing, able to share complex ideas with peers and all levels of management in a simple, relatable way
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
Someone with strong attention to detail
Able to manage time and can work independently
Education and Qualfications:
PhD in a scientific relevant field in contract research organizations, pharmaceutical industries, government, or academia.
A minimum of 5 years of post PhD experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
Industry/academic experience in cell biology and electrophysiology and a strong record of scientific achievement
Experience in drug discovery/development
Broad understanding of Toxicology, electrophysiology, and cell biology.
Knowledge of bioanalytical sciences including LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, biotransformation and physical organic chemistry
Experienced in cell based or biochemical assays.
