Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Manager, you will hire and develop a new team of engineers to build the base technology that will power critical new risk mitigation initiatives. The team will use software services, analysis, data science/ML, and data engineering to solve high-impact customer and business problems in the most optimal way. You will work with seasoned technical leaders, world-class scientists, and business and product leaders across the globe. You will have the opportunity to build a team from the ground up, influence a multi-strategy and roadmap, and deliver big and immediate results.
The ideal candidate is an experienced technical leader with a track record of fostering a fast moving culture of experimentation. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity. This means you not only grow your leaders by delegating big ambiguous problem spaces for them to own, but also roll up your sleeves to review code and design when necessary. You should feel comfortable working across different architectural areas such as building scalable services, building big data pipelines, using data science to understand customer behavior, working with applied scientists to build and integrate ML models, and delivering customer facing CX components.
