Overview

To generate external funding and monitor grant funds for fiscal responsibility in support of learning communities and other district locations to facilitate achievement of district goals.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or any equivalent combination of related education, training and/or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential job functions.
  • Two (2) years of experience in educational administration, management, and/or grant management, with at least one (1) year of experience working with the writing, monitoring, and fiscal reporting of federal, state and/or local competitive, non-competitive grant projects.
  • One (1) year of experience working with financial, HRIS, or budget systems comparable to SAP. Finance and SAP system experience preferred.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Demonstrated skill and experience in all stages of grant proposal development, including proposal planning, technical writing, budget preparation and post-award reporting and stewardship. Knowledge of grant proposal writing, preparation and processing practices and procedures. Knowledge and commitment to decentralized decision-making and accountability for results. Knowledge and use of Excel and database systems. Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in grant proposal development and compliance reporting. Ability to interpret State Board rules and School Board Policy. Ability to coordinate preparation of grant application budgets and facilitate processing from inception through award. Those activities in which detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed accurately, loudly or quickly.90 Hearing Acuity: The ability to perceive speech and other environmental sounds at normal loudness levels.90 Visual Acuity: The power to see at a level which allows reading of numbers and text, operation of equipment, inspection of machines, etc.Note: Will total more than 100 percent as several activities may be performed at one time.WORKING CONDITIONS:Conditions the worker will be subject to in this position.Indoors and Outdoors: The worker is subject to both environmental conditions.
