Food Truck Manager

Seasonal, Non-Union, Non-Exempt Position

$18.00 per hour, 24 hours per week

BASIC FUNCTION OF FOOD TRUCK MANAGER:

Conduct food preparation for the Food Truck and provide full service from the truck.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF FOOD TRUCK MANAGER:

• Participate in food production both in the main commissary and on the Truck for all Title III Food Truck events.
• Stock Food Truck for each event and maintain an inventory list. Order supplies from office or caterer as needed.
• Sanitize food service areas and serving utensils in Food Truck prior to each use.
• Organize interior of Food Truck for optimal service of all meals
• Be knowledgeable of all operating systems in the Food Truck. Start propane appliances to maintain adequate hot temperatures. Start generator prior to meal service to maintain cold temperatures.
• Serve meals from food truck in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Clean interior of Food Truck after every use.
• Scan Food Truck cards of each Food Truck participant.
• Work cooperatively with Food Service Manager and kitchen staff.
• Ability to drive an automatic, small-size transit bus.
• Safeguard all donations collected during Food Truck events.
• Participate in Food Truck production and service for senior center events, private and/or fundraising events. These events may occasionally increase hours of work.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS OF FOOD TRUCK MANAGER:

Education:

H.S. or GED, Culinary Certificate

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in relevant field
• Food Service experience helpful
