Your adventure begins now—unleash your potential with MANTECH!MANTECH seeks a motivated, career-focused Technical IT Project Manager to join our team in Herndon, VA. This role sits at the center of our contract Program Management Office (PMO), with direct responsibility for IT refresh initiatives and program-level projects. You’ll partner with contract leads and senior leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned to strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end IT Refresh program initiatives, accountable for a primary Key Performance Indicator (KPI) of on-time delivery against the integrated master schedule.
- Build, maintain, and oversee a cross-functional master schedule, managing dependencies, critical path, resource planning, and deployment sequencing across IT and business teams.
- Manage IT refresh work using Agile/Scrum practices by organizing sprint planning sessions, maintaining and prioritizing the task backlog, leading daily status meetings, and conducting post-sprint reviews to ensure consistent, on-time delivery of defined milestones.
- Oversee and coordinate all projects within the PMO portfolio, making sure they follow the same planning process, execution standards, governance requirements, and delivery expectations.
- Identify and manage project risks, cross-project dependencies, and resource limitations; resolve issues quickly and escalate with clear, data-supported recommendations when needed.
- Travel locally between customer buildings, as required.
- Will have supervisory responsibilities, to include but not limited to: interviewing, hiring, career enablement, timecards, performance counseling, compensation planning, and requisition creation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree OR Associates degree and 2+ years of additional experience OR HS Diploma and 4+ years of additional experience
- 9+ years of direct knowledge of the customer’s operational IT environment.
- Certifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse, multi-skilled teams and partner organizations in the execution of large-scale enterprise IT refresh efforts in direct support of customer mission objectives.
