Position Summary: The Director of Supply Chain Management for Goodwill of the Olympics & Rainier Region (GORR) is responsible for overseeing the coordination of the supply chain organization developing and driving performance while working closely with our CFO and procurement teams. Responsible for leading inventory planning , forecasting, allocation, replenishment, analytics, measurement of performance and establishing goals consistent with total Retail Operation targets.

Sources and procures new goods products commensurate to customer demand, industry trends, store policy and financial budget.  Responsible to maximize profit and provide a range of merchandise priced in accordance to Goodwill’s price conscious, value-seeking customer.  Responsible for ensuring merchandise is purchased, received, and distributed to stores in a timely manner to maximize seasonal sale opportunities.

Creates and maintains stocking agreements for commercial supplies, ensuring never-out status for crucial production supplies supporting retail stores, online sales, and warehouse activities.  Oversee periodic pricing structures for all regular use items.  Source items, feasibility of use, and replenishment process upon request from all channel managers.

Salary: $80,829 - $87,800 annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Director of Supply Chain Management responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned:

• Develop and execute an effective logistics business plan that ensures distribution network supports Goodwill’s business requirements.
• Ability to track logistics performance against business plan and adjust forecasts/priorities and resources as necessary.
• Drive supply chain functional performance, working closely with our Procurement team to ensure supply chain management provides seamless support for all Goodwill products.
• Oversee inventory management, warehouse and transportation management activities.
• Support overall supply chain strategy by ensuring alignment in work practices and business direction.
• Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance; ensure accurate customer order fulfillment at a cost effective rate.
• Ensure direct reports and teams follow consistent internal control processes, utilizes systems, and have the opportunity to attend position related training sessions.
• Teach, coach, train staff to improve business acumen and sharpen skills in the areas of planning, forecasting, replenishment, and allocation.
• Collaborate with Retail Operations to drive and optimize sales margin, product assortments, and inventory turn rates to exceed sales and margin goals.
• Manage all aspects of new goods merchandise; product selection, vendor negotiations, promotional planning, pricing, allocation, and distribution.
• Represent Goodwill of the Olympics & Rainier Region at trade shows, and Goodwill Industries International events.
• Monitor the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements as noted on the supplier scorecard.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
• Develop and maintain detailed inventories of goods and supplies.
• Establish performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
• Establish vendor partnerships and further the Supplier Diversity initiative.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

• MBA or Master’s degree in Business or related field or a related field; or equivalent related professional experience.
• At least 5-10 years of experience as a supervisor, manager, or relevant position required. 
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers and customers.
• Exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making and communications skills.
• Superior coaching, leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build understanding and consensus.
• Ability to negotiate best pricing and payment term
