Montecito Bank & Trust is seeking a full-time Personal Banker II to join the team at our Westlake Branch.  The Personal Banker II will deliver a World Class Experience by assisting clients on the platform. Job duties on the platform will include but are not limited to: maintaining, servicing, and opening accounts; discussing loan options and taking loan applications; referrals to other lines of business. Maintaining all expectations of proper cash handling, new accounts production and maintenance and will work on the teller line and on the sales platform as assigned.

Minimum Requirements, Activities & Responsibilities

Education and Experience: 

• Minimum one-year personal banker experience or commensurate sales experience
• Minimum 6 months of previous teller experience
• The ability to be registered as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLSR), under the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE ACT), and maintain the registration as required

Essential Functions:

• Accurately operates network computers/software, and other equipment necessary to open new accounts, maintenance required for existing accounts and handle financial transactions
• Assists in the acquisition of consumer and small business loan relationships; accepts consumer and small business loan applications and closes loans as directed by management
• Identifies and refers cross-sell opportunities as appropriate to customer requirements
• Handles a variety of cash and negotiable transactions accurately and efficiently

• Ability to accurately handle large amounts of currency
• Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and customer service skills
