Job Summary

Research data management and studies related to the analysis of potential and existing risks identified by the Operating Company. Help facilitate activities associated with the risk process in alignment with the Operating Company goals. Provide support to Operating Company Distribution Planning and Operations through data analysis and assessment of reliability performance.  Assist in the research, data management, and studies related to the assessment of outages and reliability performance.

AEP is seeking talented and motivated Risk and Reliability Analyst Associate

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain the list of existing/potential risks that need to be analyzed.
  • Assist in gathering, reviewing and documenting internal and external data associated with the identified risks.
  • Assist in documenting the Operating Company risks per the corporate standards.
  • Assist with diagnosis of trouble, mis-operation, or damage of equipment and assist with corrective action to affect repair and prevent recurrence.
  • Assist in the analysis of potential and/or existing risks for the Operating Company.
  • Working with the risk champions and other SME when appropriate.
  • Assist in scrubbing outage data and outage analysis review process.
  • Assist in gathering, reviewing, and reporting reliability performance to Operating Company leadership as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimal travel will be required in this role (5%-10%).
  • Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully interact with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders is required.
  • Demonstrated ability of providing work direction and guidance to other employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to function as a project leader and technical expert as required.
  • Must have a firm understanding of the risk evaluation and distribution operations process.
  • Ability to use MS Office products to develop reports and presentations.
  • Experience with a query tool such as Cognos, SAS, Business Objects, SQL, etc. would be a plus.

Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in distribution planning and operations.

$85,081 - $127,624
