Description:
SPR’s Gender Unit (IG) is looking for an experienced and motivated Administrative Coordinator/Senior Administraive Coordinator. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the unit chief and deputy and will provide administrative and organizational support to the staff in the unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the workflow of the unit; including monitoring the flow of information and keeping track of shifting priorities. The position is one of multi-tasking and some of the tasks will include monitoring the unit’s busy work agenda and action items and ensuring deadlines are met; proof-reading all documents and transmitting for review and to Management and the Board; scheduling and preparing meetings; processing reviews through eReview (country and policy); processing travel arrangements and expense reports. Given that IG was formed less than two years ago, the position also involves significant engagement on business process design, including knowledge management that relies strongly on online tools.
Qualifications:
In addition to the qualifications set forth in the job standards, the selected candidate will be expected to work under minimum supervision and be required to exercise initiative, sound judgment, and utmost discretion in performing his/her duties. The candidate must have strong administrative, technological, and organizational skills; knowledge of Fund practices and procedures; familiarity with Fund software applications, particularly Word and Excel, and systems, including PeopleSoft FINPROD and HRPROD; excellent interpersonal skills, ability to handle and coordinate multiple tasks, and the ability to work accurately under pressure and especially as part of a team. The candidate must be flexible with regards to working hours and willing to work overtime at short notice.
