Sr. Principal 3D Software Engineer

 

Oracle Aconex is looking to hire a 3D Software Engineer to join the development team in  United States. This role requires experience in implementing 3D visualization pipelines for rendering complex scenes at a high frame rate.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

The successful candidate will be joining a cross-functional team accountable for designing, building and supporting cloud-based web and mobile applications for the construction and engineering industry.  You will be collaborating with other 3D specialists on visualizing geometrical and information models. You will also develop other functionality as needed.Our teams are autonomous with a strong quality mindset. If you enjoy working ina highly cohesive and creative environment, then this is the place for you.Key Responsibilities•Collaboratively design, develop and test a 2D and 3D engine for construction, engineering and architectural models•Build and improve data pipelines for large scale geometrical and information models•Research, improve and adapt geometric algorithms such as boolean modelling and binary space partitioning•Analyze and address performance and user experience issues•Design, develop and test cloud-based web and mobile applications Skills and experience•Programming languages:o   C++, Java, Javascript•Solid understanding of graphic APIs such as OpenGL, Metal and DirectX•Strong theoretical knowledge of computer graphics and rendering pipelines•Strong mathematical and algorithmic-geometry background•Data model pipeline design and development knowledge•Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles•Using version control (GIT)•Understanding of database technologies and transactions management•Understanding of continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins Willingness to learn and build software for cloud-based web applications including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure development.
