About the role

WinnCompanies is looking for a Warehouse Specialist to join our military housing team at Fort Cavazos, TX.
In this role, you will primarily be responsible for purchasing equipment materials, supplies, and tools, generating purchase orders, and placing orders directly with vendors and suppliers. You will also utilize the system reorder function to properly order quantities of products needed, maintain the warehouse, and provide service to technicians by issuing equipment materials, supplies, and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase equipment materials, supplies, and tools using the electronic purchasing system to generate purchase orders and place orders directly with vendors and suppliers.
  • Utilize system reorder function to properly order quantities of products needed.
  • Utilize Yardi management system to manage, issue, and order all inventory and equipment as per guidelines.
  • Ensure that warehouse(s) are properly stocked and inventory levels are maintained in accordance with the current maintenance activities of the project.
  • Ensure that company policies are followed for purchasing, receiving, and stocking materials.
  • Support providing supplies to technicians and employees or maintenance activities by issuing equipment materials, supplies and tools physically and electronically.
  • Maintain the warehouse by stocking and receiving, materials, supplies, and tools efficiently both physically and electronically.
  • Ensure safe, clean, and tidy warehouse and maintenance facilities. Comply with proper safety and environmental policies for storage and recording and reporting requirements (including Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all materials).
  • Maintain tool and equipment logs for all project-owned tools. Ensure all are maintained in working order. Inform Maintenance Manager or Director of Facilities of tool and equipment requirements.
  • Support regular warehouse and vehicle inventories in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain refuse and recycling collections for maintenance operations.
  • May be responsible for special order purchases.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Superb attention to detail.
  • Ability to utilize a mobile device effectively.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to speak and understand basic English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational or technical training.
  • Forklift operation certification.
  • Experience in purchasing or warehouse management.
  • Experience with Yardi property management software.
