Position Overview:

The Manager, Production MC22 is responsible for the overall management of the local/area MC22 channel productions and programming including content-creation, scheduling, and on-air/production quality. The Manager also assists the Company’s community relations efforts through development of a local network of contacts providing opportunities for unique local programming that enhance the channel’s service to the community.

Position Responsibilities:

• Execute and develop local programming initiatives as directed by Senior management of the Mediacom Connections Channel (MC22) to differentiate our service from our competitors.
• Supervise all production staff as well as any contractors/freelance staff.
• Develop and maintain a strong network of local contacts with the goal of uncovering opportunities for programming; may represent the company in meetings with municipal and community leaders.
• Content creation for local High School events, area college debate forums, and other projects as directed.
• Perform video editing functions including selecting music and special effects for projects.
• Oversee upkeep and improvement of production equipment such vehicles, computers, software, etc.
• Responsible for ensuring local content is developed in a timely manner and transmitted for airing on the Company’s VOD platform.
• Ensure operations stay within allocated capital budgets for local channel operations and equipment.

 

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Required – 3 years of video production experience and knowledge of master control television production equipment.
• Preferred – Experience producing community based programming and Supervisory experience.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to network.
• Solid understanding of business goals, objectives and initiatives.
• Ability to organize and complete tasks in a timely manner; flexible to work hours needed to complete productions.
• A pleasant personality and willingness to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license; satisfactory driving record.
• Some travel required.
