Job Summary:

This senior level administrative assistant (AA) position performs complex and diverse administrative functions in support of the Right of Way (ROW) Group by researching, interpreting and applying State and Federal statutes, administrative rules, agency policies, procedures and practices. These functions/duties include all aspects of personnel actions, staff recruitment and hiring procedures, office inventory and management, handling all sensitive and/or confidential information with great discretion and integrity. Additional duties include the organization, implementation and oversight of special projects, budget forecasting and general accounting. This position is distinguished from the AA II level by the greater scope, complexity, delegated authority and variety of duties required of this position.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:

As a senior level AA position, performs complex and specialized administrative duties for the ROW Group's administrative and management staff. Monitoring computer databases and reports, including Google Suite, Microsoft Excel and Access database, reports and/or spreadsheets, and complies with and monitors the principles and practices related to department and personnel issues. Attends meetings and seminars for the ROW Group Administrators.

Researches, evaluates and consolidates technical and personnel information associated with the ROW Group's databases and reports. Provides senior level customer service to the public and to in-house staff. Responsible for creating purchase requisitions and yearly inventory.

Performs senior level AA functions required to document, maintain, process and distribute ROW Group standards, manual, policies, and procedures.

Coordinates with ROW Group Administrators and Executive staff regarding items one through four (1 thru 4) above to ensure their proper development, maintenance and management

May require statewide travel and overnight lodging as needed to support duties and responsibilities.
