PRODUCTION MACHINERY MECHANIC

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Inspecting and maintaining industrial mechanical equipment such as: mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines; 2) Performing routine, corrective, and preventative maintenance and on lathes, mills, drill presses, and related shop equipment; 3) Performing general facilities maintenance and modifications such as: running support services to a machine and making foundations for a machine; 4) Establishing preventative maintenance schedules to avoid production delays; and 5) Using blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and computer-based resources/research to perform repairs within allotted timeline.
