Summary

Temporal is seeking a passionate and creative Senior Manager of Community to join our Developer Relations team. This role is perfect for someone who deeply understands developers and has a knack for building and nurturing online communities. • Program Development: Design and execute a champions program that identifies, celebrates, and empowers community leaders. Develop processes to highlight community content contributions internally and externally.
  • Feedback Loop: Serve as the voice of the community within Temporal, gathering feedback and insights to guide product development and improve user experience. Work closely with product teams to communicate community needs and contribute to the roadmap.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on community engagement metrics. Use data to inform strategies, measure success, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Events: Run community events in coordination with our events team, with a focus on creating a fun and educational environment. These events should cater to both new and existing community members, providing value and fostering a sense of community.
  • Creatively Foster Open-Source Adoption: Help both newcomers and experienced users get the most out of our open-source platform and community by building creative and fun programs.
  • Represent Temporal Online and In Person: Be the first point of contact for new community members, help answer questions, and point people to resources. Occasionally travel to conferences to do the same.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience in community management or a related field, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in tech or developer communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a diverse group of individuals.
  • Strong organizational and event planning skills, capable of coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A genuine interest in Temporal’s technology and the larger developer ecosystem, with an eagerness to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices.
  • Experience with social media management, content creation, and analytics tools.
