Job Description

This is a full-time position onsite in Gaithersburg, MD.

Job Responsibilities 

• ​​Provides day-to-day oversight of the Lab Support team, including coordination and responsibility for the delivery of support services. 

• ​Assist in maintaining Glass-wash and Autoclave equipment, working closely with on-site facilities teams 

• ​Ability to troubleshoot problems within the system and recommend improvements. 

• ​Organize, analyze and present metrics and KPI data to the General Laboratory Services Manager with reportable performance data. 

• ​Coordinates and manages project tasks to ensure delivery within allotted timelines. 

• ​Completes routine team meetings/huddles/and safety tasks with Lab Support Technicians. 

• ​Follow proper safety precautions related to identifying job hazards.​ 

• Maintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the working environment.

Basic Qualifications:  

​​Associate’s Degree in Business or Science with 3+ years of inventory management experience related to above responsibilities ​OR 

​​High School Degree/GED with 5+ years of inventory management experience related to above responsibilities​ 

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• ​​Solid understanding of how R&D laboratories function and has a proven track record of supporting those activities at various complexity levels  

• ​Leadership experience or experience in customer-facing roles 

• ​Experience with operating labo
