Job Description

This is a full-time position onsite in Gaithersburg, MD.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Provides day-to-day oversight of the Lab Support team, including coordination and responsibility for the delivery of support services. 

  • Assist in maintaining Glass-wash and Autoclave equipment, working closely with on-site facilities teams 

  • Ability to troubleshoot problems within the system and recommend improvements. 

  • Organize, analyze and present metrics and KPI data to the General Laboratory Services Manager with reportable performance data. 

  • Coordinates and manages project tasks to ensure delivery within allotted timelines. 

  • Completes routine team meetings/huddles/and safety tasks with Lab Support Technicians. 

  • Follow proper safety precautions related to identifying job hazards. 

  • Maintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the working environment.

Critical Skills:  

Strong communication and training skills 

Excellent organizational skills; ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently 

Ability to follow oral and written directions 

Basic experience with MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint 

 

Basic Qualifications:  

Associate’s Degree in Business or Science with 3+ years of inventory management experience related to above responsibilities OR 

High School Degree/GED with 5+ years of inventory management experience related to above responsibilities 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Solid understanding of how R&D laboratories function and has a proven track record of supporting those activities at various complexity levels  

  • Leadership experience or experience in customer-facing roles 

  • Experience with operating labo
