Position overview

The Infrastructure Team Leader serves as the primary liaison for the technical team, overseeing the upkeep and implementation of system components within IDEMIA Data Centers or Private/Public Cloud. Additionally, this role involves coordinating organizational and technical tasks within the team and engaging in cross-functional collaborations with other global teams at IDEMIA.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage infrastructure-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet specified requirements.
  • Coordinate organizational and technical tasks within the infrastructure team, ensuring efficient workflow and task allocation.
  • Address and resolve complex technical issues, providing expert guidance and solutions to ensure continuous system availability.
  • Provide timely assistance to support staff, ensuring adherence to deadlines and prioritizing IDEMIA's infrastructure support requirements.
  • Oversee the maintenance of system components deployed in IDEMIA Data Centers, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.
  • Offer insights on product and system functionality, configuration, and usage, contributing to training materials and documentation.
  • Actively share skills and experience within the team and across the organization to promote consistency and enhance overall quality.
  • Promptly identify and address critical issues and risks, taking a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Understand, follow, and enhance formally established methodologies, processes, policies, and values, aiming for consistent, reliable, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Provide encouragement and support to team members, engaging in the upskilling and training of colleagues, including new staff.
  • Analyze failures to ensure operational recovery within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), utilizing standard procedures.
  • Engage in the continuous improvement process by analyzing recurrent incidents and developing long-term solutions.
  • Keep abreast of the latest technological advancements and incorporate them into the data center infrastructure as appropriate.
  • Suggest enhancements to the monitoring setup to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and oversee the security of the data center infrastructure.
  • Work independently and adapt quickly, implementing effective workarounds under the guidance of support standards and conventions.
  • Manage the budget for infrastructure maintenance and development, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working hours according to the distribution of the team globally.
  • Aid in recruiting new technical staff, contributing to the team's growth and expertise.
  • Be available to provide technical support at Data Centers or approved locations in case of emergencies, be prepared to travel as reasonably requested for business needs
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Management, adapting to diverse tasks and challenges.

 

Required

  • University degree in the field of engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role

 

Technical Skills

  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, …)
  • Proficiency in managing and configuring servers, storage solutions, and network infrastructure
  • Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewall management).
  • Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), including cloud migration and management
  • Understanding physical hardware configurations and maintenance, including servers and network devices.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and tools to secure infrastructure and data.
