In this exciting and rewarding position, the Assistant Nurse Director will be responsible for assisting with clinical management and administrative coordination of the Nursing System Float Team. The position is a combination of clinical (direct care) and administrative responsibilities, including:
- Interview and hire process
- Staff compliance with competencies and regulatory requirements
- Maintaining up-to-date personnel files
- Scheduling
- Staff performance and evaluations
- Staff education and teaching classes, as needed
- Payroll processing oversight
- Formal rounding to include population specific patient assessment, interaction with staff regarding patient care, and review of documentation as needed throughout the shift
- Assess staff competencies and appropriateness of staff assignments
- Assist in providing direct patience care, as needed
- Identify actual or potential patient of staff safety risks
Salary Range: $59.67-$138.60 hourly
Job Qualifications

We’re seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated professional with:
- Current California RN license, required
- BSN, required
- BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, required
- 3 years recent acute care RN experience, required
- Masters Degree in Nursing, preferred
- ACLS, preferred
- Nursing Professional Leadership Certification (NEA-BC, NE-BC, CNL, CNML preferred) or Certification in main area of Clinical practice or obtain within 12 months, preferred
- Educational or progressive leadership positions, preferred
