Job Description
The Transportation Specialist will be responsible for operational transactions to support import and exports for the shipping and receiving sites within AbbVie’s GDL or IME network. This role will need to work with internal stakeholders upstream and downstream in the process to ensure timely and successful shipping execution. Also, the coordinator will be accountable for the settings within SAP which control the selection of routings and transportation service providers (TSPs) for shipments from the shipping locations. Vendor relationship management is required to ensure TSPs are meeting performance standards from forecasting, booking, in-transit, and freight payment requirements and milestones. TOA needs to work with Abbvie QA and TSPs to drive TSP SOP creation meeting AbbVie’s standards and ensure GDPs are being met. This individual will capture data from bookings, packaging, and freight data; will be responsible for reviewing temperature data; and following up with forwarders on CAPAs. Continuous improvement projects related to forwarder routings, lane and packaging qualifications, and improvements to the visibility of shipments and data. He or She will be responsible for investigations and reporting of complaints, including damages/loss, shortages, and late shipments. Coordinator will have responsibilities supporting other team members with projects, efficiencies, inbound shipments, SAP knowledge transfer and support. Finally, the Coordinator will be responsible to weekly, monthly, or quarterly transportation reports and dashboards
