Your Responsibilities

 

As a Team Leader, Production for the John Deere Construction & Forestry Fabrication division located in Davenport, IA, you will:

 

• Lead a production team to execute safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency goals through Continuous Improvement (CI) plans and activities
• Communicate job expectations; facilitate training and certification requirements; coaching and setting high standards on performance
• Elevate our safety culture through effective communications, leading by example, driving engagement in proactive risk identification and a focus on implementing thorough safety corrective actions

• Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities
• Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions
• Troubleshoot and diagnose highly complex equipment and systems
• Ability to work variable shifts including off-shifts, weekends, and OT as business needs

What Makes You Standout

 

• Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement (CI) processes, lean manufacturing, and 5S.
• Experience with wage/union employee policies, practices, procedures, Continuous Improvement Pay Plan (CIPP) administration, and work rule 

 

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent related work experience
