Finance Operations Intern

<p><em>Internship (6 months) - full time - Paris 9 or willing to move to Paris area - starting at 1200€/month</em></p><p></p><h1>Job Description</h1><p>Kiln is the leading enterprise-grade staking platform, enabling institutional customers to stake assets, and to white-label staking functionality into their offering. We are looking for a Finance &amp; Operations Intern to work closely with our COO &amp; co-founder and Finance Manager.</p><p></p><h2><strong>Missions</strong></h2><p><strong>1) Support Financial Planning &amp; Analysis (FP&amp;A)</strong></p><ul><li><p>Assist in recording and reconciling cryptocurrency revenue transactions</p></li><li><p>Participate in the preparation of financial statements</p></li><li><p>Help with forecasting &amp; budgeting</p><p></p></li></ul><p><strong>2) Systems &amp; Financial Reports</strong></p><ul><li><p>Utilize financial data to create internal reports that provide insights into the company’s financial performance</p></li><li><p>Prepare detailed reports for customers regarding their staking activity and reward statements</p></li><li><p>Address any customer inquiries related to invoicing and financial data</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>3) Commercial and Product Development</strong></p><ul><li><p>Assist in the customer invoicing process, ensuring compliance with established guidelines</p></li><li><p>Contribute to financial negotiations for contracts</p></li><li><p>Assist with project work to support sales operations, risk management, and other teams internally</p></li></ul><p></p><h2><strong>Preferred profile</strong></h2><p><em>Skills &amp; background</em></p><ul><li><p>Basic understanding of financial modeling &amp; KPIs/reporting (Google Sheets, Excel)</p></li><li><p>Interest in crypto and familiarity with tooling (blockchain explorers, etc.) is a plus</p></li><li><p><strong>Knowledge of SQL, Python, and JavaScript (for data analytics)</strong></p></li><li><p>Pursuing or completing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Technology</p></li><li><p>Fluent in English and French</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with automation tools is a plus</p></li></ul><p></p><p><em>Soft Skills:</em></p><ul><li><p>Genuine interest in Blockchain &amp; crypto</p></li><li><p>Humility &amp; team-spirit</p></li><li><p>Willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment</p></li><li><p>Organized and rigorous</p></li><li><p>Passionate about tech startups</p></li><li><p>Curious and able to dig into a topic and follow through</p></li></ul><p></p><h2><strong>What We Offer:</strong></h2><ul><li><p>A fast-paced, no bureaucratic work environment</p></li><li><p>Opportunity to learn from industry experts</p></li><li><p>Potential for a full-time position upon successful completion of the internship</p></li></ul><p></p><h2><strong>Interview Process:</strong></h2><ul><li><p>Recruiter Phone screen (30 min) with a recruiter</p></li><li><p>Take-home exercise and oral presentation (1 hour) to our finance team</p></li><li><p>Culture fit Interview with a co-founder(45min)</p></li><li><p>Offer</p></li></ul><p></p><p>We're looking forward to chatting!</p><p></p><p><em>Please note that we are not sponsoring visas for non-UK or EU citizens.
