The Research Triangle Park (RTP) facility is home to Catalent's Inhalation franchise including product development, clinical and commercial manufacturing for inhalers and Nasal Sprays. 

Catalent Pharma Solutions in Morrisville, NC is hiring a Laboratory Services Intern (part-time). The Intern will support our on-site laboratory operations management by doing technical writing, data reporting, instrument onboarding and retirement, and laboratory set up. The Inhalation Product Development and Analytical Laboratories in Morrisville, NC are responsible for the development, characterization, and testing of Orally Inhaled and Nasal Drug Products manufactured at Morrisville and Catalent sister sites. The department supports formulation development, process development, product and device characterization, and manufacturing quality control support.

This is a part-time hourly position supporting day shift with core hours Monday-Friday, 9:00AM – 3:00PM. The Intern must work an average/standard of 20-hours/week. There is no set end-date for this internship.

The Role:

  • Support creation of certificates of analysis and reports for project deliverables
  • Work with laboratory operations, quality assurance, and validation functions to assist with administrative aspects of onboarding new instrumentation as well as relocation and retirement of existing instrumentation
  • Work with laboratory operations and project engineering to assist with activities related to new laboratory set up and organization
  • All other duties as assigned

The Candidate:

  • Current or recent enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program (e.g. Science or Engineering)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Professional
  • Must be located within 50 miles of the Morrisville, North Carolina site during internship to be considered
  • Physical requirements: Individual may be required to sit, stand, and walk regularly and lift up to 15 pounds
